Do you ever read a Bible passage and immediately (or some time during the day) connect it with a popular song/hymn/video/gif? Well we did that a lot this week with the daily Gospel readings and decided to share our playlist/timeline with you. Enjoy!
Sunday’s Gospel: Luke 18:1-8
“Jesus told His disciples a parable about the need to pray continually and never lose heart…” Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find. “Will not God see justice done to His chosen who cry to Him day and night?”
Monday’s Gospel: Luke 12:13-21
“Fool! This very night the demand will be made for your soul; and this hoard of yours, whose will it be then?” What will your stored up earthly treasures be worth to you when you leave this earth? Detach, let them gooooo!
Tuesday’s Gospel: Luke 10:1-9
“[Jesus] said to them, ‘The harvest is rich but the labourers are few, so ask the Lord of the harvest to send labourers to his harvest.'”(Click image for the video)
Wednesday’s Gospel: Luke 12:39-48
“When a man has had a great deal given him, a great deal will be demanded of him; when a man has had a great deal given him on trust, even more will be expected of him.” (Don’t judge us for this choice, first thing that came to mind #JesusWalks)
Thursday’s Gospel: Luke 12:49-53
“Jesus said to His disciples: ‘I have come to bring fire to the earth, and how I wish it were blazing already!'”
We’re called to light the world up with our love for God and others. Are you a girl/guy on fire for Jesus? Ignite the flame in others!
Friday’s Gospel: Luke 12:54-59
“Hypocrites! You know how to interpret the face of the earth and the sky. How is it you do not know how to interpret these times? Why not judge for yourselves what is right?” Mehn, Jesus that’s a JAMB question right there! We spend so much time trying to figure out things of this world, but do we dedicate enough time trying to interpret what God is saying to us personally?
